I'm seriously considering getting a resin driveway installed, but I keep seeing conflicting information about how much maintenance they really require. Some websites claim they're virtually maintenance-free, while others say you still need to pressure wash them regularly and be careful about certain types of spills. Our current paving stones are a nightmare to keep clean, weeds grow like crazy in the gaps, and they're constantly getting stained. Before I invest a considerable amount of money into resin, I want to know if the low-maintenance claim holds water in real-world use. What's been everyone's actual experience?

From what I have heard, the low maintenance aspect is generally true, but there are some very minor things you might need to do. A friend of mine has a resin driveway, and he finds it pretty easy to look after. He said he occasionally brushes it down to remove leaves and debris, but that's about it. I think the biggest advantage is that weeds don't tend to grow through it like they do with block paving. He did say getting one of those Diy Kits makes the whole thing easier, especially with preparation, so perhaps that is worth looking into. Resin driveways generally do seem like a significant improvement in terms of upkeep compared to other options.
